The Monmouth School and HMSG junior swimming team (Forms I and II) took part in an exciting gala on Thursday.  The team competed against Christ College Brecon and John Kyrle High School in a highly competitive and hard-fought competition.  There were some excellent races, with stand-out Monmouth School performances by Will in the Breaststroke and Harvey in the Butterfly. There were wins for the relay teams in both the 4x25m relay (Ben, Sam, Josh and Joe) and the 4x25m Medley Relay (Harvey, Ben, Sam and Joe). The cannon freestyle kick relay was the deciding race, and the Monmouth team were overtaken in the final laps by John Kyrle.  Well done to all swimmers for an exciting event.

Final scores were: John Kyrle 42 points; Monmouth 40 points and Christ College Brecon 26 points.
