Gareth and Henry singing Calon Lan

It was wonderful to hear the news of Monmouth School and HMSG students, past and present, performing at the Borough Theatre in Abergavenny on St David’s Day.

The soloists for this concert were organised by Monmouth School teacher Miss Fowler and Gareth James (from last year’s 6.2) was joined on stage by Henry from Prep IV, to sing Calon Lan to rapturous applause. Also taking to the stage were Christian from 6.1 and Lisa, from HMSG, on the harp.

The Borough Theatre was full for this fantastic event which also saw the Blaenavon Male Voice Choir on stage. Well done to all involved.
