A Unique Sixth Form Experience
Sixth Formers at the Haberdashers’ Monmouth Schools benefit significantly from the links that exist between Monmouth School and Haberdashers’ Monmouth School for Girls. Whilst retaining the single-sex advantages of each school, students are encouraged to enrich and broaden their Sixth Form experience by taking part in the wide range of joint activities on offer both within the curriculum and beyond.
The majority of subjects are taught at both schools, allowing the flexibility within the timetable to accommodate any combination of subject choices we offer, from a range of around thirty subjects. Some subjects, however, are only taught at one of the two schools and our dedicated minibus service allows students to move easily between the schools. This means that many of our Sixth Form students will experience teaching in mixed groups. Both schools have dedicated Sixth Form Centres which provide a range of study and social areas which are available for all students to use.
In short, we firmly believe that our Sixth Formers really do experience the best of both worlds – working, living and enjoying themselves in both single-sex and co-educational environments. In the process, they will learn a great deal about themselves and each other as they prepare for life beyond school.
