Monmouth’s Talent shines again

March 16, 2017

Another exceptional evening of entertainment was had by the 300 strong crowd who packed into the Blake Theatre on Monday, as Monmouth’s Got Talent 2017 took to the stage.

As in previous years the talent on display was truly awe inspiring as students covering all ages of the three Monmouth schools sang, played and even puzzled their way to rapturous applause.

The performances took on many art forms; from dance to heavy rock, ‘garage’ to soulful ballads, with a bit of the West End and even some astounding Rubik’s cube wizardry, just for good measure.

In fact the standard was so high that the judges couldn’t split the top two acts, and so Ella and Annie from MCS will now go on to sing at Monmouth Festival.

Well done to all three Heads of School who organised this fantastic event in aid of the children’s charity Barnardos, thank you to the audience for buying the tickets and applauding whole-heartedly throughout.
