Junior Historians battle to rewrite history

October 11, 2016

On Monday lunchtime the Junior Historians re-enacted the final act of the Glyndwr Uprising with the Battle of Abberley Hill of 1405 where 600 years ago a combined Franco-Welsh army faced down Henry IV’s army near Worcester. Fighting and narrowly winning independence for Wales was an army ably led by Danny as Glyndwr, putting to the sword a numerically-stronger army of Englishmen. The Best-Dressed Warrior Award was won by Max, the Most Valiant Knight award with seven kills was Will. The carnage was closely-supervised by Sixth Form Gods who marshalled the troops well and ensured that all the warriors returned to afternoon lessons in one piece.
