Monmouth School took two teams to the Kids’ Lit Quiz regional heats in Cardiff last week and both of them did extremely well. The Form I team put in an outstanding performance and were winning until the final round when they were beaten by a hair’s breadth by Islwyn High School who go through to the national final.

This was very enjoyable occasion with lots of lively questions and loads of prizes to keep the excitement going.  The Kids’ Lit Quizzes are all about engendering an enthusiasm for reading amongst young people and the breadth of knowledge shown by our boys was proof that the sport of reading is alive and well in Monmouth School. We look forward to next year!
