On Sunday 28 November, Monmouth School hosted the regional final of the National Concert Band Festival, the country’s largest wind band and big band festival.  Over 1200 musicians took part in a day of fantastic music.  The Haberdashers’ Symphonic Winds won a Silver award, and the Junior Symphonic Winds were awarded a Gold.  The Junior Symphonic Winds will now compete in the national final in Glasgow in April.  Congratulations to all who took part and helped host such a successful event.  Particular thanks go to Mrs Dollins, assisted by Miss Beak, whose organisational skills would win a Platinum award!
