A world first, Richard undertook the race to climb the highest mountain on each of the world's continents and venture to The South and Geographical North Poles to raise funds for Marie Curie Cancer Care. Richard took up the challenge when a shoulder injury put an end to his rugby career, he won 4 caps for Wales.
Sixth Formers from Glendower and Tudor House raised £500 for Marie Curie and presented the cheque to him when he returned to give an assembly to the boys.
