On Tuesday 20^th March at 7.30pm, the two Haberdashers’ Monmouth Schools presented an evening of Choral and Orchestral Music at the Wyastone Concert Hall, near Monmouth.  In the first half of the concert, Haberdashers’ Monmouth Schools’ Symphony Orchestra performed Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition.  The second half of the concert featured a performance of Carl Orff’s Carmina Burana, given by a choir of over 200 voices, accompanied by a professional orchestra and soloists from the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama.  The choir involved every Year 7 pupil from both Schools, as well as senior choirs from both Schools.
