The future looks bright for 13 year old Wesley, who performs at the National Theatre and stars in ‘S*x & Drugs & Rock & Roll’, the critically-acclaimed film documenting the life of rock star Ian Dury.
Wesley has been described as ‘an amazing young actor’ by his film co-stars, where he plays the young Ian Dury alongside Ray Winstone. ‘S*x & Drugs & Rock & Roll’ is now out on general release.
Not content with appearing on the big screen, Wesley is currently starring as Sacha in Tom Stoppard and André Previn’s Every Good Boy Deserves Favour at the National Theatre, London. Following a sell-out run in 2009, Every Good Boy Deserves Favour returns to the Olivier Theatre for a limited run of 41 performances from 9 January to 17 February 2010.
This is the second time Wesley treads the boards at the National Theatre. He starred in last year’s production of Samuel Adamson’s Mrs Affleck, and has also appeared in a number of TV dramas such as Doctors, Casualty and Where the Heart Is. Wesley fits all this around his schoolwork at Monmouth School, thanks to his own effort and determination, and help from his friends and teachers.
