A lucky group of sixteen school boys from Monmouth School have just returned from Valencia CF Football Club following an exciting six day sports development tour that allowed the boys to live the life of a professional football player.
Organised by Mark Tamplin, 1st XI football coach and maths teacher, the group of students experienced the stuff of footballing dreams, hosted by one of the most successful clubs in La Liga, Spain.
The pupils enjoyed the full use of Valencia’s magnificent training ground and facilities and were coached by official Valencia CF coaches, who are responsible for coaching the superstar Spaniards. Unsurprisingly, this superb coaching resulted in a significant improvement in individual and team skills.
Speaking about the trip Mr Tamplin said, “I wanted the students to experience everything that Valencia CF had to offer. I had heard that Valencia was a beautiful city on the coast and that Valencia CF was an open and friendly club – we were thrilled with our choice, the facilities and city were first class”.
“The package that inspiresport put together for us was just what I wanted and included six sessions of football coaching provided by the Valencia U15 coaches and several matches against local opposition, a behind the scenes tour of the Mestalla stadium, not to mention a chance to watch, train alongside and speak to the Valencia first team – the boys loved it!”
“We also enjoyed some much needed R&R at the beach – in short, it was the perfect week away for a football-mad teenager – and I have to say I enjoyed every second as well!”
