Students prepare for Monmouth's Got Talent

In February, pupils from Monmouth School, Haberdashers' Monmouth School for Girls and Monmouth Comprehensive School took part in 'Monmouth's Got Talent.  Pupils, parents and local residents enjoyed a spectacular evening's entertainment as a total of 12 acts performed on stage.  Monmouth School's Dominic was named winner after he wowed the audience with his rendition of Coldplay and Athlete hits.

The event was organised by the Head Boys and Girls from the three schools, and raised over £1,000 for Tenovus, Wales' leading cancer charity.  Tenovus aims to help prevent, treat and find a cure for cancer.  It offers support, advice and treatment for cancer patients, information on cancer prevention and funding for research to improve the outcomes for people with cancer.  The £1,000 raised by the Monmouth schools will keep the Tenovus Mobile Cancer Support Unit on the road for a day, enabling patients to have chemotherapy close to their homes.
