Pryce wins Arkwright Scholarship

Pryce received his award from Mrs Knight, Master of the Haberdashers’ Company, at a formal ceremony at the headquarters of the  Institute of Engineering and Technology in London.

The Arkwright Scholarship is given in recognition of "outstanding potential as a future engineer" after a rigorous three-stage selection process.

The Arkwright Scholarships Trust (www.arkwright.org.uk) is a Registered Charity which administers one of the most prestigious scholarship schemes in the UK. The Trust identifies and nurtures future leaders in engineering and related areas of design. It does this by awarding Arkwright Engineering Scholarships to high-ability students in Year 11 (England and Wales) and S4 (Scotland). The Engineering Scholarships support students through their A Levels / Scottish Highers and encourage students to pursue engineering at university and to take up careers in engineering or related areas of design. This year, the Arkwright Scholarships Trust is celebrating its 20th Anniversary.

The Scholarship consists of an annual financial award to support Pryce through his sixth form studies and a range of enrichment activities, such as mentoring and industry visits, that enhance understanding of engineering and the world of work. The Scholarships are highly regarded by university Admissions Tutors and enhance Scholars’ university applications.
