A-Level Art and Design

Head of Department:  M Peake                            Board:  OCR

Many of you will realise that the examination system is going through change. Art is no exception.  Since September 2008 the 6 units for the full two year course has changed to four.  You will be able to take Art AS as a stand alone qualification, 2 units, or you may wish to undertake the A2 year as well, making 4 units in total. The AS and A2 are internally marked and externally moderated. Each year contributes 50% to the total marks available.

Both these qualifications, AS and A2 are level 3 in the National Qualification Framework (NQF)
