Dr Winter would like to correct an error in his recent letter to parents of boys in Form IV. The section:
‘I’m sure you’ll agree that the Easter break represents an ideal opportunity for your son to embark upon a thorough programme of revision. To that end, I would recommend that he revises for between 4 and 5 hours a day; I have incorporated one day for rest and relaxation into the timetable to provide a balance to all the hard work which I’m sure he will do.’
Should have read:
‘I’m sure you’ll agree that the Easter break represents an ideal opportunity for your son to begin his preparations for his summer examinations. To that end, I would recommend that he revises for between 2 and 3 hours a day and for 4 or 5 days each week.’
