The U13 rugby sevens players attended several tournaments this during the season, winning one, losing in the semi final of another and getting
to the final at Millfield. That is a fabulous return for the hard work put in by the boys in training. They gradually improved, putting together some excellent performances at the knock out stages of each tournament and should be proud of their efforts. All in all a very successful, and enjoyable term.
Monmouth School’s U13 A, B and C XV’s rugby teams had a recent clean sweep of victories away at Millfield School. All teams finished on impressive scores with the A team winning 14-5, the B team 17-5 and the C’s 7-5. In all the games the Monmouth School boys proved dominant in the forwards and demonstrated good attacking skills, although it was the defence that really stood out. Some fine tackling and a determination not to concede points was the driving force behind these successes.

Monmouth School’s annual Under 12’s rugby tour to Blackpool took place over the first weekend of February half term break and players and coaches alike were hoping to be able to maintain the School's impressive unbeaten run in these fixtures.
In their first match, Monmouth faced strong resistance from Kirkham Grammar School but the team emerged victorious with a 20-0 score. In their second game, despite a fantastic 50-0 win, opponents King Edward VII, Lytham made Monmouth fight all the way for their victory.
