VIth Form

Sixth Form life at Monmouth School is very di fferent from what boys will have experienced before,
either lower down the school, or elsewhere. From the outset, pupils are treated as young adults who
have greater independence than previously and who have a distinct identity within the school. This is
demonstrated by the existence of the Sixth Form Centre for the exclusive use of Sixth Form pupils, in
the more flexible uniform regulations, and in the style of learning and teaching that is offered.

We are proud of our Sixth Form pupils, both in terms of their achievements and their status as role
models for the younger pupils at Monmouth School. I would always hope that new members of the
Sixth Form will acknowledge their privileged position and will behave accordingly, recognising that with
privilege comes responsibility. We do expect our Sixth Formers to provide a lead for the younger
pupils, in their dress, their studies and - simply - in the way they represent the school.

I hope that you will find this prospectus useful, and that it will encourage you to explore the Sixth Form
at Monmouth School further. Please do take the opportunity to discuss specific subject issues with the
relevant Heads of Department, or to contact me if I can be of any further assistance. Thank you for
your interest in the Sixth Form at Monmouth School.
