Following on from the success of last year’s event, on 23^rd November, the English Department hosted An Evening of Literature & Music in the Music Auditorium. The evening included excellent performances by a variety of students from all forms across the school and was a testament to the diversity of talents that the boys have to offer. A selection of recitals from Owen’s ‘Dulce et Decorum Est’ and Hardy’s ‘Drummer Hodge’, to dramatic monologues from ‘Hamlet’ and  Godber’s ‘Up and Under’ were all powerfully delivered and complemented by musical medleys. All pieces were chosen or created by the boys themselves, resulting in an entertaining evening, with compère Callum Richardson leading proceedings.
