On Monday the 27th of September, the new Monmouth School Literary Society met for the first time in the William Jones room. Mr Eddy gave an exciting and insightful talk on the content and themes of Shakespeare’s King Lear. This talk was only the first of many to come aiming to widen the boys’ knowledge and understanding of literature. Any boys are welcome; the next talk will take place on October the 11th and will be on Alexander Pope’s epic poem, The Rape of the Lock.
