I was quite scared when I started economics that it would involve too much maths for me to handle. However, I quickly learnt that economics could be approached from two angles – as a strong essay writer or a good mathematician. As someone who is interested in politics and the way the country works, economics holds the answers to many of the reasons for the monetary factors we take for granted in day-to-day life. Some are more common-sense than others (for example that the supply will decrease to equilibrium level if the demand is too low), whereas some are more difficult to grasp. In all, I find economics interesting and useful - it’s nice to understand the reasons behind the financial articles in the paper.
