Josh at the Welsh National Schools’ Championships

Cross country news now as the season is drawing to a close and news of the Abberley Hall Relays in deepest Worcestershire with an Under 11 and an Under 13 team all committing well to their task on a muddy winter’s day with the Under 11s finishing 7^th out of 18 teams.

Secondly came the Welsh Schools Championships run over a challenging, hilly course in Brecon. Monmouth school was very proud to boast 7 boys running for South East Wales: Josh and Lewis in the year 7’s race, Rowan in the year 8/9’s race, Robbie in the year 10/11’s race and Josh, Billy and Jack in the seniors.  The best performance of the day from a Monmouth student came from Robbie, who was 31^st out of a total field of 90 making him the 3^rd highest South East Wales runner in his race.

Well done to all involved in both these races and throughout an incredibly successful cross-country season.
